Sensational and unique French cartonnier made in the 19th century. It presents high quality materials: mahogany, mahogany palm and leather. The furniture rises on a mahogany wood base and the upper part ends with a desk or bureau. This folding door features camel-colored embossed leather on the outside, embossed with gold. Inside, space to store documents or writing instruments, with lock. Below this drawer appears another register, both made of mahogany palm. In the main body there are six striking camel-colored leather drawers with delicate and simple handles. Each drawer has a front flap that opens folding, they are made of cardboard, on the front side they also have embossed leather. These drawers can be locked using the clever fold-out side on the right side. The top of the desk houses a hidden compartment that is accessed by pulling a small knob. When it is extracted, you can see small spaces for the inkwells, one of them is preserved. Perfect as a file cabinet, a very difficult piece to find on the art market. In good condition for its age and use.
