Fine Pair Chinese Famille Rose Mandarin Figure Porcelain Planters with original "twig-holder" covers, the sides with elaborate court scenes and with applied Squirrel and Grape vines to edges; pairs of gilt twist handles to sides and borders of butterflies and flowers to bases and edges of covers. Mostly good condition with light age related wear to enamels and gold, 1 small squirrel with gold over-painting on first planter, small chip to 1 squirrel on second planter with gold touch-ups to 1 handle and over-painting to short and small area of foot edge. Height 8 3/4 inches (22.2 cm.) X mouth opening 7 3/4 inches square ( 19.5 cm. square).
