France - epoque louis philipe -- percussion à double canon superposé - Pistolet époque Louis-Philippe - système à percussion balle forcée. - Percussion - Pistol - 12 mm
Pistol from the Louis-Philippe period - percussion system with forced bullets. Unusual model with double superimposed barrels, grooved, thick, with ribbon. Chest pistol with two superimposed barrels. Excellent mechanical condition, good tight springs, both notches hold well, good percussion. The chimneys are in excellent condition, the barrel can be dismantled without any problems. Very nice aesthetic condition. The chest, the top plaque and the trigger guard are engraved with foliage scrolls and foliage. Some (very) small rust craters in places but not really visible. The wood is a lovely walnut, not damaged or split. The frame, the barrels and the hammers have the same number (4) . The barrels are smooth and 11. 5 mm calibre, measured with calipers, which corresponds to . 44 calibre. (a round bullet returns to greasy friction) . Pistol is completely functional and is suitable for firing, in my opinion, but please have it checked by a gunsmith before having fun at the shooting range. See photos. ------------------------------ Pistol from the Louis-Philippe period - percussion system with forced bullets. Unusual model with double superimposed barrels, grooved, thick, with ribbon.
