A finely cast and well finished, patinated bronze figure of a walking elephant, standing circa 18cm tall and weighing 2207g, naturalistically modeled to show hi movement, tail brushing across hind legs as he raises his trunk. Marked to the underside with maker's mark for Genryusai Seiya, arguably one of the most important bronze animalist sculptors of the Meiji period. Condition: Excellent, no damages or repairs. This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
