Auf Brustbild im ovalen Hochformat reduzierte Darstellung des bekannten Werkes von Reni „Der Kampf des Erzengels Michael mit dem Satan“, von 1635 in der Kirche Santa Maria della Concezione, Rom. Das Original auf Seide, 293 x 202 cm. Demgemäß handelt es sich bei vorliegendem Gemälde um eine Detail-Wiedergabe in der Originalgröße, das Haupt des goldblonden Jünglings lebensgroß, entspricht im Detail dem großformatigen Bild. Der Blick nach unten folgt dem Original, das die Satansfigur am Boden liegend zeigt, der linke Fuß des Engels auf dessen Kopf. Ausführung in guter Malqualität, die Pinseltechnik weist noch in das 17./ 18. Jahrhundert. (1230341) (11)
