Cestello lamp designed by Gae Aulenti and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for i. Guzzini is a floor lamp in extruded aluminium. The frames are fixed via a jointed support rod. The orientation angle of the optical units is guaranteed by mechanical locking devices. In the rear part of the base there are 3 switches that allow the optical compartments to be switched on in pairs to facilitate aiming operations, designed for the separate switching on of 3 groups of halogen lamps and equipped with a cable with plug. The luminaire consists of a 6-compartment optical unit in extruded aluminum which houses the light sources. These can be adjusted by 45° with respect to the horizontal and vertical axis via technopolymer cardan joints. Mechanical screw locks allow stable aiming of the sources in the desired positions. The lamp holder rings are made of die-cast aluminium. The optical unit, supported by two extruded aluminum rods, can be inclined with respect to the vertical via two joints and locked in position with two clips.
