Japanese Hand-Painted Vase - Meiji, Satsuma
Hand-painted Japanese vase, ca. Meiji period (mid-19th - early 20th century). White-glazed ceramic with underglaze paint and over glaze gilding. Possibly Satsuma. Scene of men and children fishing in a brook. Neck has band of decoration with chrysanthemum mon. Unmarked, unsigned. Some chips on base/foot and around lip of vessel, some hairline cracks.
