with gilt-metal mounts, the three quarter raised gallery back with inset breche d'alep marble tops, above a central panelled door flanked by eight short drawers, painted with a romantic scene pof lovers and floral swags, the fall front similarly decorated with romantic scenes, opening to reveal a fitted interior with drawers and a brushing slide with velvet inset writing surface, below are two conforming frieze drawers, raised on fluted tapered legs terminating in toupie feet
