Land Rover - Santana 88 - NO RESERVE - 1972

[ translate ]

The Land Rover Santana 88 is a noble workhorse. It is an exceptionally capable off-road car that, at its base, still lives on today in the current Land Rover Defender. It is such a capable off-roader that they have mostly been literally worked into the ground. It is, therefore, a rarity to find an original Land Rover Santana 88 that is also in good condition. The hard working life is something which this Series 3, quite extraordinarily, has managed to evade almost entirely. This particular vehicle was delivered new on 29/09/1972 and reads 67,330 kilometres on its odometer. This magnificent car has been restored years ago with an eye for quality. And that is still visible to this day. The navy grey paint in combination with the beige hood forms a beautiful classic look. The car is fitted with steel rims in the same colour as the car, with good tyres around it in the correct sizes. And what about the spare wheel mounted on top of the bonnet? This car is a so-called station wagon, and so offers room for 7 persons. The instruments and control elements all function as they should and look good. The car is powered by its rock-solid diesel engine with manual transmission. The four-wheel drive can be activated separately and ensures maximum grip on any terrain. The engine is practically indestructible and delivers a nice and high torque at the lower RPM range. The transmission and brakes function as they should. And should you wish to tow a car trailer or horse trailer, this can be done by using the original tow hitch that is installed. In summary, the condition of the car cannot be described any differently than 'very good'.
