Large Ancient Egyptian Steatite Scarab with the Nile god Hapi binding the Sema-Taouy sign- ca. 3 cm

Large and rare ancient Egyptian steatite scarab decorated with palm tree flanked by representations of the Nile god Hapi. The tree is the Sema Taouy sign, the sign of the unification of the two lands, being upper and lower Egypt. The ancient name the Egyptians gave to their country was Taouy, meaning the two lands.
