The Mercedes-Benz W107 series (officially known as R107 for the Roadster) was manufactured from 1971 to 1989, together with the G-series it is the Mercedes model with the longest production. A total of 237,287 units were built. Of these, only 13,742 Mercedes 300SLs were produced between 1985 and 1989 making it the rarest R107 after the 420SL.
