"Samurai Goofy " 15.5" x 22.5" Limited Lithograph Print by Dan Jippes, Ulrich Schröder, and Gottfried Helnwein with Letter to Marc and Alice Davis (Walt Disney, 1994). Goofy is looking rather fierce in this amazing limited lithograph, created by Dan Jippes, Ulrich Schroeder, and Gottfried Helnwein, dedicated to the Disney Legend Marc Davis (1913 – 2000) and including a letter from Ulrich Schröder to Marc and Alice Davis. Famous for his illustrations depicting Disney characters, Ulrich Schröder started his work at Disney in 1989 as art director in Paris. Schröder now works with various artists under his studio Duckworks. A remarkable image of one of Disney's most beloved characters in the style of traditional Japanese prints, this lithograph shows a stunning image size of 15.5" x 22.5", showing the stylized character standing at 19" tall! Ulrich Schröder signs the print on the bottom right corner and has the dedication "To Marc Davis with Admiration!" on the bottom left. The included letter was written by the artist to Marc and Alice, mentioning, among other things, compliments on Marc's sketchbooks and Alice's cooking. The lithograph is presented on a 24.75" x 32.25" Plexiglas-fronted frame. All frames are sold as-is. Photos are not representative of actual frame condition. The letter has a horizontal fold crease.
