1964 first series Beetle, 2nd owners, 94,000 km but new mechanics with only 4,000 km, wider door mounts and slightly smaller windows (a car with a higher value than the second series) . In good conditions, repainted inside in 2011, all front door panels and rear door replaced as well as upholstery and carpeting, headlining redone.
. The car includes accessories such as clock on the steering wheel, gearbox lock with keys, stereo, vintage chrome antenna, wicker storage box, truck floor with two hidden stereo speakers.
. Car with original registration document and number plate, original and healthy bottom (which is quite rare to find with the original tar on the inner floor) .
. In 2015 brake shoes and cylinders were replaced, as well as the front end spindles to give a lower and grittier set-up (the car is 5 cm lower on the front; the original ones will be provided) .
. The engine was rebuilt brand new in 2015 and has driven about 6000 km. The displacement was increased from 1200 to 1470 cc and Mahle oversized rods and pistons were fitted.
. For a better performance and daily use, it was increased to 12 Volts (I still have the original 6 Volt kit) with an oversized carburettor, electronic voltage regulator and distributor with electronic pins (no power problems) .
. Inspected car with original plates and documents, along with original user’s and maintenance booklets from first purchase, ASI (Italian Classic Vehicles Club) registration. This German gem took part in dozens rallies around the world, winning several cups and medals for elegance and performance.
