In original pale blue covers with silver wave decoration. Sold at Christie`s auction in 1989. Upper wrapper verso and lower wrapper recto each sealed TSN [Theodore Scheiwe]. Kiho Kawamura was the son of Bunpo Kawamura, a famous ukio-e painter of the Edo period. Corresponds to Mitchell`s `Example A`, showing that this is an earlier impression than others.
