2007 ALFA ROMEO SPIDER 939 2.2 JTS
Registration No: LG07 ULS
Manufacturer: Alfa Romeo
Model: Spider 939 2.2 JTS
Registration No: LG07 ULS
First Registered: 2007
Mileometer: 63,000
Chassis No: ZAR93900005013959
MOT: 03 May 2023
Colour: Grey

This 2007 Alfa Spider 939 is presented in grey with a black leather interior, which is arguably the best colour combination. It is a rare car on UK roads, and has been regularly maintained over the years. The previous owner of 8 years attended to 2 major issues that are often to be found with this model, namely the replacement of the timing chain at 52,000 miles, and the overhauling of the roof mechanism last year at a cost of £2,544. New rear coil springs were fitted in May of this year. There is a comprehensive service history, with all bar one having been carried out at main dealers. It was last serviced at 60,000 miles, and has only covered 3,000 miles in the past 3 years.

The current owner purchased the car this year while waiting for his new car to arrive, which was ordered last December and finally arrived last week. In the interim, he went about lavishing the car to make it look as good as possible, and subsequently spent in excess of £2,500. The wheels were professionally stripped and repainted in satin black, and at the same time 4 new Bridgestone Contact 6 tyres were fitted, along with 4 new genuine centre badges. The total for this came to in excess of £1,000. He then decided to replace the discs and pads front and rear, at a further cost of over £800. Next came the paintwork. Although in good condition, the bonnet and wings were peppered with small stone chips, so these were professionally repainted at a cost of over £750, and it now looks like it did when it left the factory. All the above items were attended to in the past 100 miles.

The black leather interior is in good shape, showing only minor signs of wear commensurate with its age, and has just been treated with a professional leather care. The black mohair hood is also in good shape, showing light crease marks but no obvious areas of concern, and has also just been treated. The air conditioning blows cold, and the electrics work as they should, including the cruise control. Mechanically everything is in fine fettle, pulling away with that lovely Italian rasp. The clutch operates cleanly and all 6 gears engage as they should.

These 939’s are a rare sight on UK roads and offer a great alternative to other mass produced offerings normally seen. The quad pipes and triple headlights, along with its low and wide stance, mean that it often receives admiring glances from passers-by. With all the above works carried out this car needs nothing more than to be enjoyed by its new owner.
