Large and just beautiful tall dark blue cloisonné vase with five red-crown cranes (tsuru) , including its matching box. The elegantly shaped cranes are all looking up in the sky. This pose and scene is most certainly inspired by the famous design by Ogata Korin. With original marked box, the text on the box translates as saying that the vase is a gift for someone for the occasion of the 60th anniversary of a company. Showa Period.
