A Late 19th Century Theodore Deck Glazed Earthenware Vase
Impressive vessel done in the style of a Mamluk Mosque Lamp is decorated primarily in turquoise and Persian blue with red and white accents comprising scrolling vine and stylized flower motifs, along with Arabic style calligraph about the whole, three vignettes containing a horse with saddle and bridle at the neck, with palmettes and birds at the foot. Marked "TH. DECK" at the underside. Joseph-Théodore Deck, French, 1823–1891. Crazing, glaze imperfections on foot rim. 10 x 14" high. See Price Estimate...

A Late 19th Century Theodore Deck Glazed Earthenware Vase
Bottle form vase done in the Iznik style, consists of a white ground with stylized flower and scrolling leaf and vine motifs overall, with guilloche motifs about the mouth and foot, all in shades of azure and turquoise. Marked "THD 1870" at the underside. Joseph-Théodore Deck, French, 1823–1891. Some crazing and flaking of glaze, hairline crack at the base. 11" diameter, 19 1/4" high. See Price Estimate...

Baluster vase of substantial size is covered with a deep purple/red iridescent glaze overall with golden leaf, blue medallion, and blue Peacock motifs overall. Large blue and white transferware platter with scarce pattern entitled "Shooting a Leopard" at the well, contained within a border of various exotic animals, including a tiger, a bear, and a crane. Marked at the underside with both maker's and pattern name. Includes label verso that reads "Purchased 9/25/1999 from Boothman's Auctioneers, Stoke-on-Trent England Platter donated from the collection of the historian Robert Copeland, a descendant of the 19th century owners, to raise money for the Spode Museum Trust." ncluding 1 smaller charger with two parakeets perched on a branch at the well amidst flowering branches, in shades of yellow, blue, red, and brown together with 1 larger charger with stylized floral, arabesque, and geometric motifs in colors of white, orange, blue, green, and turquoise. Both with impressed "J. Vieillard & Co. Bordeaux" mark at the undersides. Light wear overall to each, the large charger with losses and small repairs at the rim. Up to 17" diameter.
